NECA Excellence Awards finalists

Happy to be nominated; thrilled to be recognised!

BNE are proud to announce that we have been nominated for 2 projects in the Medium Commercial category for electrical excellence and NECA have announced this week, that BN are finalists for both projects.

NECA recognition of the combined efforts from all staff @ BN Electrical, will further validate our company’s capabilities and further promote our company culture of hard working team-orientated professionals; This is an important milestone in BN’s Journey to become the best at what we do as a leading Australian electrical contractor.

One of only a few flagship vertical build schools to be built in Victoria; this innovative design brings a WOW-factor to high school with a revolutionary way in which students interact and learn as opposed to a more traditional high school environment.

From an electro-technological perspective, both connectivity and lighting were key in showcasing an enhanced and modern learning facility without compromising on traditional functionality.

We note in particular, that due to enhanced lighting, data and communication installations, this convenient and compact structure doesn’t feel diminished in any way. The feel is spacious, bright and engaging.

BN were praised for the way we interacted with other trades on site, our project management collaboration with the builder and for the way in which we have engaged with the end client by providing ‘better practice’ solutions for sustainable electrical functionality after handover. We have offered facilities management and a customised preventative maintenance programme including a 24 hours emergency service to ensure no down-time during crucial moments.

Similarly, Richmond High School was a knock down/re-build of these new-age vertical inner-city high schools.

The concept is to incorporate the necessary private learning areas of a traditional high school with more a modernised idea of shared learning spaces as well as showcasing what’s possible on a smaller city block footprint by incorporating both indoor/outdoor sporting and recreational areas.

Briefly, the Electrical package incorporated the new mains connection, power, lighting, communications and solar.

BN implemented PlanGrid towards the final stages of the construction of both PHS and RHS and within a matter of days it was apparent that this mobile project data and document control system was creating better synergies between team members on-site and off-site, producing enhanced quality control measures and ultimately communicating real time data, tracking productivity and better managing as-built elements for the builder.
